Pink Rose Cafe

Welcome back to my journey of San Diego’s best brunch spots where I find the best spots for food and aesthetics in town. We’ve visited Parakeet Cafe, Holy Matcha, S3 Coffee, and more! Now I’ve traveled a bit more south to try Pink Rose Cafe in La Mesa in historic La Mesa Village.

Similar to Holy Matcha, Pink Rose Cafe is a woman-owned shop! You can spot its pink exterior as soon as you turn onto the street. For me, it was a dream. Pink flowers decorate the outside, lining the walls, and even inside the tables. The clear chairs definitely were giving princess vibes and the velvet shell chairs gave fancy tea time.

Pink Rose cafe has a variety of beverages to choose from including espresso, teas, frappes, lemonades, and even kids options. I went with a rose matcha but next time I visit I will definitely be getting a pink beverage to match the aesthetic.

As for food, they offer light bites such as avocado toast, acai bowls, and pancakes/waffles. What is kind of neat about these is you can choose your toppings for each one! I went with the avocado toast with everything seasoning, feta, and vinaigrette!

After you visit Pink Rose Cafe you can enjoy the local thrift store, book store, and other small businesses in historic La Mesa. It is also right off a train station so it is easily accessible by public transit. Happy Brunching San Diego!
